What Is Trail Chief?

What is Trail Chief to me?  To be completely forward I am not sure that I even know what Trail Chief fully means to me.  Trail Chief has become more of a persona to me, it has become the side of me that is enthralled by nature, and the side of me that lives care-free.  If I had it my way I would make a living under the Trail Chief identity, spending every minute humanly possible outdoors.  I have a few thoughts up my sleeve, but nothing that I am dead-set on.

For now Trail Chief is a name that represents life outdoors.  I want the name to be identified by its ability to create beauty.  I want to enrich the community that I love so much.  For now my pictures will tell the story.  Enjoy these images from my last trip to Point Reyes National Seashore, located near Marin County, CA.

We were blessed with an incredible blanket of fog the entire trip.

These images were taken on the way to the Sky camp ground, which is located roughly 3 miles away from the main Point Reyes National Park Office.  The hike from the trailhead is only about a mile and a half, so I am going to go ahead and give it a solid "Beginner" rating.  You need to book campsite permits for any Point Reyes campground, see here for information on how to book.  You will want to pick the campsite you stay in according to group size.  See AllTrails for more in-depth information on trails and campgrounds, also access other visitors shared images.
